# API Provider Earnings

> How provider earnings, the marketplace fee and monthly payouts work.

You earn income by offering your APIs on the marketplace — or by sharing your API's page directly with your own customers.

## Payouts

Provider earnings are paid out on the **15th of each month**, covering the previous month's earnings. Two deductions apply, in order:

1. **Payment processing fees** — what the payment processor charged to collect the money from your customer (see the table below).
2. A **10% marketplace fee**, applied to the remaining amount.

The rest is paid out to you. The **Studio → Payouts** panel shows a running estimate — your gross revenue minus the marketplace fee; the payment-processing portion is reflected when the payout is prepared.

<Tip>
  For example: a customer pays \$100 via Stripe, and Stripe charges a \$3.55 processing fee, leaving \$96.45. The 10% marketplace fee on \$96.45 comes to \$9.65, so \$86.80 is paid out to you.
</Tip>

The minimum payout is **\$30** — earnings below the threshold are carried over to the following month. Depending on your payout method, a transfer fee of up to 1% may also apply. Current payment processing fees:

| Payment processor | Fee | Example net earnings (for \$10) | Example net earnings (for \$100) |
| - | - | - | :- |
| Stripe | 2.6\~3.3% + 30¢ | \$8.48 | \$87.13 |
| PayPal | 4.2\~5.4% + 10¢ | \$8.47 | \$85.59 |
| Cryptocurrency | 1% | \$8.91 | \$89.10 |

## Crypto Payouts

Crypto payouts are sent automatically in **USDC on the Polygon network**, from the 15th of the month onwards. Each payout appears in [Studio → Payouts](https://jojapi.com/studio/payouts) with a link to the on-chain transaction, and you receive an email when it is sent.

### Confirming a new address

Cryptocurrency transfers are irreversible, so every new or changed payout address is confirmed before the first payout goes to it:

1. Save the address in **Studio → Payouts**. You receive an email about the change; if it was not you, the email carries a link that freezes payouts on your account immediately.
2. Once you have a payout ready (at or above the minimum), we send a small **test deposit** (between \$0.10 and \$0.99 USDC) to the address. The test amount is deducted from your next payout.
3. Open **Studio → Payouts** and enter the exact amount you received. The address is then confirmed, and payouts to it start **72 hours** after the change.

An address that a payout has already been sent to does not need to be confirmed again. Entering the wrong amount five times cancels the confirmation — add the address again to receive a new test deposit.

We recommend using a reputable wallet application such as MetaMask or Trust Wallet, or a hardware (cold) wallet, and making sure it supports USDC on Polygon.

> **Disclaimer:** JoJ API (and its payment processors) cannot recover, refund, or reissue funds sent to an incorrect, invalid, or inaccessible wallet address. Any loss resulting from such errors is the sole responsibility of the wallet owner.

## Payout Methods

Payouts can be sent to your crypto wallet (USDC on Polygon, automatic) or your PayPal account (processed manually). Set up your payout method in [Studio → Payouts](https://jojapi.com/studio/payouts), or contact us at [team@jojapi.com](mailto:team@jojapi.com) for details.
